Steering Committee
The Steering Committee helps the Board of Directors, you guessed it, steer the direction of the organization. Committee members are volunteers, elected by the Board, helping us with big ideas and decisions regarding programming, fundraising, outreach, and more.
Fundraising & Events
The Fundraising and Events Committee helps create ongoing strategies for raising funds for the organization outside of Memberships. Committee members help plan fundraising events and activities, write grants, and develop relationships with donors.
Marketing & Social Media
The Marketing and Social Media Committee helps create marketing campaigns and develop marketing materials like fliers, mailers, etc. Select volunteers help maintain our social media accounts like Facebook and Instagram.
Volunteer Coordination & Outreach
The Volunteer Coordination and Outreach Committee helps us find and schedule volunteers to run the library and the shop. Committee members regularly reach out to the community to find new Members, volunteers, instructors, and class attendees.
